This isn’t a choice he makes lightly, or quickly, but thanks to his bonds to others in this prison and their words of encouragement, Komaeda concludes that is his best shot at breaking free of the cycle of hope and despair. Remaking his luck, perhaps. Or maybe it’s just a shot at confronting the darkness within his own heart that he can’t bear. Maybe…he’ll have a chance to be happy. Really, truly happy, for once in his life.

He bids everyone good luck, of course. They will need it.

NOTES:

Powers are off unless specified. Heightened natural senses (smell, sight, etc.) are okay to use in your investigations.

If your character carries a weapon with them, they are allowed to bring it in. At a certain point, they will be armed with a palace-specific weapon, but that area will be the only one in which the weapon will work.

Grouping up is encouraged, but exploring solo is fine, as well! Feel free to split up and regroup as needed throughout the course of exploration, investigation and other tasks. Threadhopping is also fine.

At a certain point in the palace, you will need to submit a memory that focuses heavily on either hope or despair. Either one is fine! You are welcome to do brief or as deep of a write up as you please, so long as the memory is conveyed.

Once you move on to a new area of the palace, you will be unable to return to the previous one, though I will continue to backtag in previous areas until things are wrapped up there.

If something requires a dice roll, I will let you know and rolls can be made in the Discord.

You are also welcome to ask questions in the Discord, except for one that will influence character choices in the palace. If your character has information that would be game-breaky or make a puzzle/task too easy to progress through, that information will be fuzzy in their memory.
